Having qualified as a psychotherapist from The Tivoli Institute in Dublin in 2001, I then specialised and developed an expertise in sex therapy through further training with Relate UK and maintain a full time practice as a sex therapist and psychotherapist.
I am a senior accredited member of The College of Sex and Relationship Therapists (London), The Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and a certified couples therapist with The International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (Canada).
I have also completed Somatic Trauma Therapy training with Babette Rothschild (U.S).
I am a Relationship Therapist and use a specific research-based model called Emotionally Focused Therapy. I work with couples to help them understand and change the difficult conflict cycles they experience and to strengthen the emotional bonds of the relationship.
As a psychotherapist I work with a wide range of challenges and issues in an integrative way. This means that I draw from many different strands of psychotherapy to best help you with the difficulties you're currently experiencing.
I work with a wide range of sexual issues and concerns including:
Erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, vaginismus and painful intercourse, difficulties with sexual desire and libido, inability to reach orgasm and intimacy issues.
I also work with individuals who have concerns around their use of pornography and sexual addiction.
